Ed Harrison
Ed Harrison, Head Trainer of The Global Cowboy Performance Horses.
Ed began riding at the age of 18, starting with the rodeo circuit, working the events of steer wrestling and bareback riding. Ed wanted to grow in his knowledge of horses and improve his horsemanship and decided to pursue riding professionally.
He landed his first job in 2007 with cutting horse trainer, Cody DuVall of Granada, Co breaking colts and loping older horses. He was also granted an opportunity to ride for the late Benny Guitron of Merced, Ca. He ultimately set his sights on the reining pen which led him to Scottsdale, Az to ride for NRHA Professional Matt Mills, for one year and then to Weatherford, Tx to work under Casey Deary for 6 years.
During Ed's time with Deary Performance Horses, he began following his calling for missionary work which found him on the continent of Africa in 2016 building churches in West Africa as well as teaching reining clinics through South Africa and Namibia!
Ed has since come back home to the USA and now runs The Global Cowboy Performance Horses in Weatherford, Tx coaching non-pros and building an aged events horse program.
